Bamboo plywood is made of thin layers of bamboo strips arranged in parallel. The strips are kiln dried, sanded smooth and then laminated edge-to-edge to form single-layer panels. These panels are then laminated together again to form multi-layer bamboo plywood with free formaldehyde emissions. Multiple layers are cross laminated and heat pressed together to provide stability and prevent warping. The dimensional stability is 3-4 times that of oak. Bamboo plywood with 4'x8' unfinished sheets.
Flattened in one direction, Horizontal has a traditional, unique "joint" feature that is repeated on the plank.
Vertical is side pressed. Vertical is lateral pressure. Bamboo strips are oriented towards the edges, reducing the visibility of the "knuckles" and providing a cleaner, smoother look.
Cross horizontal is 3- layers of plywood (face/back), with vertical pressure in the middle.
Cross vertical is 3- layers of bamboo plywood on the front/back, with vertical pressure in the middle.
